Collaborative Books

I know everyone has been waiting patienly to see the results of the two collaboratives books created for Stacie Rife and Celine Navarro as a token of love and friendship in their time of loss.
I have just finished uploading all the wonderful pages to my Flickr which you can visit by clicking on it on the right hand sidebar. I suggest you view the pages by choosing to watch them in slideshow mode to get the full appreciation of them. I believe there might be a few pages missing because they are still in the mail, but every page I received has been posted. Anything that arrives now will be passed on to either of the ladies, so don't worry!

I have to tell you that on Wednesday night, I asked Celine and Stacie to come back to my house with me after the Artfest orientation meeting because I had something for them. I sat them down in the livingroom and handed them each a box. Inside the box was their book and a packet of kleenex and it was a good thing too-they were both so overwhelmed by the loving gifts from all of you that they were moved to tears. They spent a good half hour paging their books and oohing and ahhing over the incredible artwork. When they were done, the traded books so they could see what was in the other book.

Thank you to everyone for your enthusiastic response to these projects. It was clear to see how meaningful the books were to Celine and Stacie and I know they are both so grateful for your kindness and comfort.

I so enjoyed viewing the slideshow of the books at your Flicker site. Everyone did an awesome job, and I personally want to thank you for all of YOUR hard work and the wonderful job that you did in finishing them off and assembling them. I wish that I could have been a fly on the wall to see their expressions as they paged through their books. I'm sure that the enclosed packages of kleenex were depleted at the end!!
