Kewpiepulooza!
My order from Papier Valise arrived this week and with it came these four wee kewpie dolls! They are only about 2 inches tall and just as cute as cute can be. I now have 8 nekkid dollies standing with their arms raised as if to say "I dunno!" peering down at me from their shelf. They just make me smile! Thanks so much Janice, you totally made my week!
(And see how meticulously Janice packs her orders? Lots of bubble wrap and tissue so that everything arrives in perfect order-gotta love that!)
I have been struggling with my internet connection this week. There was a period where I thought something was wrong with my modem-I had the weakest of signals-so weak that I couldn't get online for almost 24 hours. Then the last couple of days the connectivity has been cutting in and out. I talked to a couple of girlfriends who have the same ISP as I do and discovered that they were having the same problem. Add to that that Blogger is being temperamental and not allowing me to upload photos (I have gotten really creative to get the last two post's worth up!) and you have a recipe for frustration! I hope they will get it straightened out soon!
I guess the upside of being offline so much is that I did manage to get alot of work done. I created the covers for an ATC collaborative book I am hosting. I got major design work done for Paper Artsy. (As soon as I can share what I was doing, I will tell you-it's kind of exciting!) I made 25 charms for a swap I am in. I submitted artwork for a project to be considered for publication. Right now I am working on getting some info together because I am going to be the artist of the month on a friend's website. I will post a link when it's up. WHEW! I am smokin' right along!
So how am I keeping track of all this stuff? Well I have some flower shaped post-it notes that I wrote each task down on and then stuck it to the cabinet door of my computer desk. As I complete something, I remove the note and throw it away. It's kind of like my artistic version of weeding! LOL! The rule in this house is that if it's not written down, it doesn't happen and trust me, if I see it, I will remember. I have 4 more flowers to weed before the end of the month in order to be on time with everything. I am hoping to have that done by Wednesday.
Okay, back to work for me! Hope you are all having a good weekend!

I too love the weeding analogy as I am an avid gardener and I actually like the idea. I always have long lists that get crossed off and then rewritten when it gets too messy. But I also use post it notes just to remind myself what I need to bring with me (those I leave on the back door) and others are all over my computer desk. Organization is always a clever opponent, isn't it?
I am enjoying your blog!
