Wherein Chemo #3 Kicks My Butt

Copyright Tatterededge 2009

Hi Gang, I thought I would do a quick post to let you all know I am still here. The pic above is the view from my world lately. Indy's been hanging out with me on the couch or in bed, keeping me company as I try and sleep my way back to human again.

I'm lying low as I recover from round 3 of chemo. You have no idea how awful it really is unless you've been through it and I now feel sorry for every single person who has ever had to have it. It's barbaric. For me, the worst part is that if I take one drug to help with one side effect of the chemo, there is always another thing messed up by doing that that makes me miserable. I can't win. Anyway, I hope to be feeling better later in the week.

So want to keep me company? Recommend me a book (fiction or art or biography) or DVD and I will try to send my minions out to get it for me. Or just post and tell me what you've been up to. Honestly, it may take me a bit to respond, but I will read your comments!

Sorry to hear you are feeling miserable. Two things that can provide entertainment via your computer:
For your listening pleasure -Craftcast - this was new to me but seems to have been around awhile. Interviews with artists of various styles and venues.
http://www.craftcast.com/

For art instruction on video, Creative Catalyst now offers online rentals. Videos on various topics such as drawing, painting, collage, etc...
http://www.artworkshops.tv/
Hope that helps and know that I am thinking of you and hoping you feel better quickly.

I am sorry that you are so ill. I am sending positive healthy thoughts your way right now. Get your peeps to get you a few of the latest Sommerset issues. And a copy of the 1000 Journals Project Book by Someguy and the new DVD that just came out about the 1000 journal project. WOW!! You will love it. Hope you feel better soon. Sharon

Hope your feeling better soon. I have a check with your name on it along with a treasure or two (one from a far far away place). 'The Secret Life of Bees' is an awesome movie. We watched 'Bottle Shock' last night and I fell in love with it.

I am so sorry you are feeling so sick - chemo is so hard and it is difficult to see the benefit at times of making yourself sick to feel better.Hang in there - you will feel like yourself again. I am sending best thoughts and wishes your way. I just read The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson and highly recommend it plus he went to UBC and now lives in Winnipeg - how fitting is that? A Vancouver & Winnipeg connection! For movies there is nothing like Breakfast at Tiffany's or The Shawshank Redemption to never fail me. I hope you feel better soon.

sorry to hear you aren't feeling well - sending wishes for a speedy recovery.

I've been watching old movies lately with Haley Mills in them; highly recommend Summer Magic and In Search of the Castaways - lots of singing to make you tap your toes

Two great books I read recently Tell No One by Harlan Coben and Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman (couldn't put either down)
